AC WEJZ-FM Jacksonville, FL, brings in Yvonne Velazquez as morning co-host with 20-year morning host Arthur Crofton, beginning November 9. She previously handled middays at Alternative KYSR-FM/Los Angeles. Velazquez has also held the night time slot at WNEW-FM/New York. Prior to that she was the voice of MTV Satellite Radio and a morning host at WEZB-FM/New Orleans. (11-06-09)



CBS Radio/San Francisco adds Fernando and Greg to Rhythmic AC KMVQ-FM (MOViN 99.7) in mornings, beginning November 12 from 5am-9:30am. The duo got their start in radio on crosstown former Golden Bear-owned Rhythmic CHR KNGY-FM (Energy 92.7) from 2005 until last September. (11-06-09)



Country WMJW-FM/Cleveland, MS, Assistant Operations Manager and morning personality Brock Owens exits. (11-06-09)



Bonneville's Sports/Talk WXOS-FM (101 ESPN)/St. Louis parts ways with Pat Parris, co-host of the "Parris and Burwell" late morning show, effective immediately. The current show, which runs from 9-11am, will be referred to as "Burwell and Company" in the interim. Additionally, Bernie Miklasz's 2-hour show is extended to three hours (11-2pm). (11-06-09)



Cumulus Media's Country KQTP-FM (US103)/Topeka, KS, will change call letters on November 9 to KTOP-FM. The station will continue to play a blend of Country music under PD Tom Freeman. Cumulus already owns KTOP-AM (1490 ESPN) in the market. (11-06-09)



KCMD-AM (Freedom 970)/Portland adds syndicated Sean Hannity and Mark Levin to its line-up. Hannity's show will air 12-3pm (following Laura Ingraham) and Levin's show airs 3-6pm PT. (11-06-09)

Alternative KEDJ-FM Phoenix brings in Jamie Cooley to pair-up with Gadger for a music-intensive morning show. Cooley makes her way via Portland where she worked for 13 years. Gadger has been with the station for several years in multiple roles. Mornings have been vacant since the syndicated Kevin & Bean show was pulled in September. (11-05-09)



Country KMLE-FM/Phoenix loses a pair of air personalities due to budget cuts. Midday host Gwen Foster leaves after 2 1/2 years and PM drive host Jeff West exits after nearly 15 years with the station. (11-05-09)



Former WTIC-FM/Hartford drive-time host Jeannine Jersey moves to AC WMJJ-FM/Birmingham as morning co-host. (11-05-09)



KKSR-FM (95.7 Star FM)/Tri-Cities, WA, becomes the first radio signal in the region to flip to an all-Christmas music format as "Tri Cities Official Christmas Station," or "Your Christmas Star" through Christmas Day. (11-05-09)



AC WJLQ-FM/Pensacola-Mobile flips to CHR as "i100 Today's Hit Music." The station will air commercial-free and will pay $2000 to the 100th caller following the 2000 songs. The new web site is i100hits.com. (11-05-09)



News/Talk KFYI-AM/Phoenix adds Nicole Franks to the news team. She starts her afternoon anchor duties next week. (11-05-09)



Silent WLLH-AM/Boston returns to the airwaves with a Spanish Variety format. WLLH went dark in September after airing ESPN Radio and a local Sports/Talk format as "ESPN Boston." (11-05-09)



AC WMJJ-FM (Magic 96.5)/Birmingham names former WTIC-FM/Hartford Program Director and afternoon talent Jeannine Jersey as morning co-host joining Rob Conrad for wakeups. (11-05-09)
