Spanish Radio Leaders to Oppose Airplay Royalty

Univision-syndicated morning host Eddie "Piolin" Sotelo will moderate a panel discussion hosted by The Free Radio Alliance Tuesday in Washington, DC, on the negative impact royalties for local airplay would have on radio. Among the topics set to be discussed are the potential for job losses if a "performance tax" is levied on the Spanish-language radio community.
Among those schedlued to speak at the briefing are Bustos Media Chairman/CEO Amador Bustos, Salem Espanol National Director Tony Calatayud, Gaytan Broadcasting owner Maria De Leon, Spanish Broadcasting System VP/GM Frank Flores, Entravision VP/Public Affairs Marcelo Gaete and Univision Radio President/COO Gary Stone, among others.
