Emmis Shares Top $1 Mark for First Time Since 2008

Shares of Emmis Communications topped the $1.00 on Tuesday, if only briefly, the radio broadcaster's highest stock price since October, 2008. The shares closed at 99 cents, up 32 cents, or about 48%, on heavy volume.
Earlier this year, Nasdaq sent a delisting notice to Emmis warning that if its stock price doesn't exceed $1.00 by March 15, it would be removed from the exchange. Emmis' stock is up 180 percent since January 1.
