United Stations Joins The Media Rating Council

United Stations Radio Networks (USRN) has become a member of the Media Rating Council (MRC). USRN signed a three-year membership with the MRC, and along with their enrollment, USRN will receive one seat on the MRC Board of Directors. The announcement comes from USRN President/COO Jim Higgins, based at the network's headquarters in New York.

"We are very pleased that United Stations has chosen to join MRC and to participate in the important process of auditing and accrediting media research results," said MRC Executive Director/CEO George Ivie. "The United Stations' team has a great track record and they have tremendous experience in radio with a unique perspective on the business. We're certain that their expertise will add strength to our assessments of the latest research products including Arbitron's RADAR.

"It's important to all of us at United Stations to support and participate in the work of the MRC. Our clients require and deserve flawless data measurement from our medium, and we feel the need to contribute to the quest for accuracy that is spearheaded by the Media Rating Council," added Higgins. "The MRC represents our interests well, and it will be a privilege to contribute to their efforts of behalf of all of our advertisers, agencies and clients." (10-19-09)
