Principle Broadcasting Network has agreed to acquire KCNL-FM (Channel 92.3)/San Jose, a 6kw outlet licensed to Sunnyvale, CA. PBN is purchasing the station from Clear Channel's Aloha Station Trust. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Principle is likely to drop the Alternative format as the company's other stations air multi-ethnic brokered media.
Principle President/CEO Bill Saurer said, "Principle looks forward to operating both KLOK-AM and KCNL-FM in the San Francisco-San Jose Bay Area and serving the multicultural community." KLOK also broadcasts an Ethnic mix at 1170 AM.
Media Venture Partners was the exclusive broker for the transaction.
