Struble Says Q4 HD Radio Sales Up Dramatically

Speaking at Virtual Event's "Monetizing Audio Technology" conference, iBiquity President/CEO Bob Struble revealed that 734,000 HD Radio receivers have been sold year to date, or twice as many sold in 2008. Almost a half million HD receivers had been sold through the end of September, while a quarter million have sold in the last two months.
Struble also told the Virtual Event conference that HD Radio receiver sales increased from 28,000 in 2006, to 140,000 in 2007, and then 366,000 last year. To date, about 1.3 million HD radios have been sold.
