MBM Texas Valley Acquires McAllen Group for $2.5M

MBM Texas Valley has agreed to acquire six stations in Texas from Border Media Business Trust for $2.5 million. Included in the deal are KBUC-FM (102.1/18kw)/Raymondville, KJAV-FM (104.9/6kw)/Alamo, KZSP-FM (95.3/2.9kw) and KESO-FM (93.7/38kw)/South Padre Island, KURV-AM (710/1kw)/Edinburg and KVJY-AM (840/5kw)/Pharr. All of the stations serve McAllen-Brownsville (Arbitron rank #58).
Border Media Business Trust is headed by W. Lawrence Patrick, Trustee. MBM Texas Valley is owned by Roberto Gonzalez. Greg Guy and Jason James of Patrick Communications brokered the transaction.
