Arbitron, Edison Research Release AC P1 Study


An extension of the Arbitron/Edison "Infinite Dial Study," released earlier this month, specific to AC format P1 listeners was revealed Tuesday. The data is an extension of the January/February 2013 survey conducted by both Arbitron and Edison. It that found among AC format P1s about three in ten listen to online radio weekly. Other findings include:

  • One in three uses YouTube weekly
  • They are much more likely to wake up in the morning to a cell phone
  • Half own a smartphone
  • They are much more likely to own a tablet
  • More than six in ten have a profile on a social network
  • They are less likely to say it is important to learn about and keep up to date with new music
  • Eight percent have signed up to receive email from their P1 station
