NYMRAD Publishes Q1 2016 State of Market Report

New York Market Radio Association (NYMRAD) has released the First Quarter, 2016 State of the New York Market Report. The analysis of the New York marketplace is designed to help advertisers understand radio's impact on consumers and its prominent role in the local advertising landscape. Q1 started out strong, with several industries expanding their footprint in the New York area. This report looks at the latest information about New York's economy, commuting information, Radio and politics, Radio and luxury and national Radio advertising and usage.

"One of the stand-out findings in the report is New York Radio's impressive penetration in the luxury market," said NYMRAD Executive Director Debbie Beagan. "With luxury retailers and department stores opening locations across the New York tri-state area, Radio offers these high-end businesses an engaging environment for reaching consumers with household incomes of $250,000 and higher. In fact, New York Market Radio reaches 91% of high-income households ($250,000+) plus over 90% of those who own a second home, plan on buying a luxury car, dined in upscale restaurants, and purchased fine jewelry in excess of $500 and vacations in excess of $10,000."

The NYMRAD State of the Market Report provides specific business trends as well as local information from a variety of sources including Nielsen Audio, Media Monitors, NY Times, Labor Statistics for the New York City Region, Advertising Age, Edison Research and more.
