Townsquare to Deploy WideOrbit Across 310 Stations
RADIO ONLINE | Tuesday, August 23, 2016 |
WideOrbit Inc. signs with Townsquare Media to deploy WideOrbit's WO Traffic platform at all 310 of its radio outlets. In addition, Townsquare plans to implement WideOrbit's WO Traffic -- Digital Orders to manage its audio streaming and web site advertising, WO Streaming for audio streaming operations and WO Analytics for business intelligence.
Townsquare's installation of WO Traffic will be WideOrbit's largest-ever deployment of its traffic platform at a single station group. Townsquare is currently the third largest owner of stations in the U.S. by number of radio stations owned. In addition to its 310 stations and 325 local web sites in 66 U.S. markets, the company operates 550 live events, a digital marketing company and one of the nation's largest digital advertising networks.
"WideOrbit gives our stations the very best tools and resources for growing their businesses, increasing their listenership and serving clients," said Townsquare Executive VP/CFO Stuart Rosenstein. "Standardizing on WideOrbit will simplify our business from top to bottom. We will be able to manage the ad sales of our portfolio from one database rather than the 66 we use today. We expect that working with WideOrbit will help us improve business efficiency and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and identify new opportunities to enhance ROI."
"It's obvious that a project of this scale and ambition is a huge commitment for any station group, so we are honored that Townsquare has selected us to be its partner for advertising, digital audio and business intelligence," added WideOrbit Founder/CEO Eric R. Mathewson. "By moving its 310 radio stations to a unified technology stack, Townsquare will improve its ability to control day-to-day operations, expand revenue opportunities on digital platforms, and find new ways to enhance the company's bottom line."
