Aerostar to Acquire KEGH-FM/Salt Lake for $1.1M
RADIO ONLINE | Monday, August 28, 2017 |
Aerostar Communications has agreed to acquire KEGH-FM Salt Lake City (licensed to Woodruff, UT) along with associated booster stations KEGH-FM1 (Ogden, UT), KEGH-FM2 (Bountiful, UT), KEGH-FM3 (Salt Lake City), KEGH-FM4 (Provo, UT) from SLC Divestiture Trust II for $1.1 million in cash. KEGH-FM has been in trust for 6 years. It was part of the Simmons Media Group which required divestiture of stations in Salt Lake Cirty. A previous deal with AASAA Media LLC was approved by FCC in June, 2016 but did not close.
Aerostar is currently operating KEGH-FM under a Local Marketing Agreement (LMA) and is headed by Michael V. Call. Call also has interests in Mav Radio Holdings Inc. license of KNIV-FM (Lyman, Wyoming) serving the Salt Lake-Ogden-Provo market.
Greg Merrill of Media Services Group represented SLC Divestiture Trust II in this transaction.
