Veteran Talent Hancock Shifts to WBT Afternoons

Greater Media Charlotte announces that longtime WBT-AM & FM air personality John Hancock will shift from 6-9pm to afternoons from 3-6pm, beginning July 16. Hancock originally joined the station back in 1990 in the 9am-12pm time slot. In 1996, he moved to afternoons before leaving in 1999, for a short time. In 2001 he returned for the 6-9pm shift, which he has held ever since. The Brad and Britt Show (Brad Krantz and Britt Whitmire) will remain on the air and will be moving from 3-6pm to 6-9pm.

"John Hancock has been a staple of WBT for years, earning him the title of Charlotte's Most Beloved," said Senior VP/Market Manager Rick Feinblatt. "We are excited to have him with our listeners for the drive home."

"John is the most dynamic and recognizable personality on WBT," said PD Jason Furst. "We look forward to continuing to provide the most comprehensive programming to our listeners in both day parts with both John Hancock and the Brad & Britt Show."
