Hawaiian KQMQ-FM (931 Da Pa'ina) Honolulu taps Jovan Ladao (aka Phat Joe) as its new Music Director and midday host. Ladao joins KQMQ from crosstown Clear Channel Hawaiian KDNN-FM, where he served as MD and afternoon talent for the past 8 years. He joined KDNN in April, 2006, from CCME co-owned KIKI-FM where he handled night duties.
Ohana/Honolulu Director of Programming Fred Rico said, "We're so excited to have Phat Joe come to Ohana Broadcast Company. He has everything you want in an air talent, including, great work ethic and attitude."
Ladao added, "I'm excited to be working at 931 Da Pa'ina, and supporting local music by getting our artists from Hawaii more exposure on the radio. Since I was a kid, it was my dream to work in radio and I'm blessed to still be doing it today."
