Marty & Farmer Reunite for Mornings on WABD/Mobile


John Marty and Johnna Farmer reunite for mornings on Cumulus CHR WABD-FM/Mobile, AL, beginning Monday, February 2. Cumulus Senior VP/Programming, Jan Jeffries commented, "We are thrilled to have John and Johnna come home to wake up and entertain Mobile and gulf coast listeners. John and Johnna captured the morning audience for years and now return to continue their fun, interactive and topical show."

"John and Johnna's 'welcome home' festivities include appearing in this weekend's Mardi Gras parade, followed by a 'welcome home' party at a hot spot party place in Mobile," Jeffries added.

Market Manager Angel Taylor said, "We are delighted to welcome back John and Johnna as they have come full circle. WABD is home to this dynamic duo and we look forward to a great morning show spearheaded by this great team."

Marty said, "I couldn't be happier to be back in one of the best cities on the Gulf Coast and working again at an amazing and legendary station. I can't wait to work with Johnna again and to learn all the best tricks of the trade from Jan Jeffries.Together, with Market Manager, Angel Taylor and the Mobile team, we can take WABD to new heights. I'm a lucky guy to be able to come back home to great people and a great station."

Farmer commented, "As a child, Dorothy told me there was no place like home.
