ESPN NY Radio Adds Bilingual El Locker Room 1050

WEPN-FM (ESPN NY 1050AM Radio)/New York launches the network's first bi-lingual show, "El Locker Room," a new program airing twice weekly, Saturdays from 9am-12pm and Sundays from 11am-1pm. El Locker Room satisfies the needs of bi-lingual listeners by embracing the two most prominent languages in the city. Led by air personalities Rafael Bello, Giara Nova and Berardo Mendez, the show reflects the versatility of U.S. Hispanic Millennials, who naturally ping-pong from English to Spanish in their conversations.
Bello, the show's lead sports anchor, is no stranger to radio, having started his career in his native Dominican Republic, and encompasses the best of both worlds having embedded Caribbean roots with American traditions. Bello's has earned two Emmy awards during his tenure as TV anchor at Telemundo's New York stations, after 5 nominations encompassing Sports and Entertainment for three consecutive years.
