Hernandez Joins 93.7 El Patron for Mornings/Producer

iHeartMedia Phoenix announced today that Rico Hernandez has joined Regional Mexican station 93.7/1230 El Patron as morning show on air talent and executive station producer, effective January 2, 2018. Hernandez will serve as an on-air host, executive producer, and community ambassador on El Patron. He will also continue to serve as midday talent on Tejano 1600 in Tucson, AZ.

"We're looking forward to Rico's Spanish expertise and experience. This is the start of a very exciting time for El Patron in Phoenix." said Steve Geofferies, Executive Vice President of Programming of iHeartMedia's West Division.

"The addition of El Patron to our Phoenix cluster of radio brands has given us a great opportunity to serve the Hispanic Community, and now with the addition of Rico, we will enhance that even more." said Linda Little, Arizona Region President of iHeartMedia.

"Rico's enthusiasm and passion are contagious!" said Paul Kelley, Area Senior Vice President of Programming for the iHeartMedia Arizona Region. "Over the last two years, I've become familiar with Rico's talent and drive, and he certainly deserves this promotion within iHeartMedia."

"I'm excited to come back home to Phoenix after being gone for 25 years. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined returning in such an amazing fashion," said Hernandez. "Thank you to iHeartMedia for this great opportunity. I'm ready and anxious to get involved in the community to deliver the best music and entertainment possible." Rico continues, "Por muy alta que sea una montana, siempre hay un camino hacia la cima, or I want us all together to reach that mountain top. Muchas gracias."
