Report: WGN/Chicago Late Night Host Patti Vasquez is Out
RADIO ONLINE | Tuesday, June 18, 2019 |
WGN-AM/Chicago late night host Patti Vasquez is out after an accidental F-bomb was heard during her show earlier this month, reports Chicago media columnist Robert Feder. Vasquez was fired Monday after five years in the late night post at the Tribune News/Talk outlet. Feder said, "A live newscast was airing on her show when another microphone was inadvertently switched on and picked up some unidentified voices. One of the voices is heard clearly saying: "F-you."
After multiple suspensions for previous infractions, Feder writes that Vasquez's failure to report the incident to management apparently "proved to be her final offense." Now Vasquez plans to run for the Illinois State Senate.
