Cumulus flips Classic Hits WRQQ-FM/Nashville to Rock as "97.1 RQQ Nashville's Rock Station" with syndicated Bob & Tom in mornings. The new format is a mix of Classic Rock and the best of today's Rock music. Aaron Roberts joins as Program Director from previous programming duties at WIOT-FM/Toledo and WROV-FM/Roanoke, VA.
"Nothing is more exciting then being a part of building a station for the ground up and that's exactly where we are headed. Bob and Tom rock and we want to match the sound of RQQ to them. It's going to be a lot of fun," said Roberts.
Market Manager John Columbus added, "Hiring one of Rock radio's premier Program Directors was the first step in creating a great new exciting brand of radio for Nashville. Aaron's reputation and abilities speak for themselves and I am confident he will do for RQQ what he has done for every radio station he has programmed."
J.Patrick is the morning producer for Bob & Tom, while middays will be handled by Karen Keeley and Mac will anchor afternoons.
