WERQ/Baltimore Elevates Howse to Program Director


Radio One's Urban WERQ-FM (92Q)/Baltimore officially ups Assistant PD/MD and midday host Neke Howse to Program Director. She replaces Victor Starr, who left in December. Howse, who will continue to host middays, joined 92Q some 10 years ago as its night personality.

VP/GM Howard Mazer commented, "I am very excited that Neke Howse will be the new Program Director for WERQ. After an extensive search and interview process, we were happy to find the most qualified candidate from in-house."

Prior to joining 92Q, she worked for KJMZ-FM/Dallas, WAMO-FM/Pittsburgh and WUSL-FM (Power 99)/Philadelphia.
