Superadio Networks inks an affiliation and sales agreement with Radio One to syndicate the "Al Sharpton Show" and the "Warren Ballentine Show." All affiliation and national ad sales of the Syndication One produced talk shows will be handled by Superadio, effective immediately.
Syndication One President/Programming Gary Bernstein stated, "Ballentine and Sharpton represent the future of Talk Programming with their proven ability in major markets to target younger and appeal to the more desirable 25-54 demographic. Both programs are poised for unprecedented growth on both AM and FM radio."
Superadio President/COO Jack Bryant added, "With the huge number of people engaged in the Presidential primaries, the general election in November, the economy and other national and local issues, the interest and audience for talk radio has exploded. Al Sharpton and Warren Ballentine are two of the important voices working as conduits to the community and we're committed to expanding these two shows across the country."
Al Sharpton (1-4pm) currently airs on 20 stations, including WVON/Chicago, WCHB/Detroit, WOL/Washington, WILD/Boston, WAMJ-FM/Atlanta and WWRL/New York -- which will become the flagship station of the show.
Warren Ballentine (10am-1pm) is currently cleared in 4 of the top 10 markets including WAMJ-FM Atlant, WILD/Boston, WCHB/Detroit and WOL/Washington, DC. WVON/Chicago is slated to begin broadcasting the show in mid-April.
