Bill Gamble Returns to Chicago to Program CBS Duo

CBS Radio appoints 24-year programming vet Bill Gamble as Program Director of Country WUSN-FM (US 99.5) and AC WCFS-FM (Fresh 105.9), effective July 17. Most recently, he served as Director of Operations for the former CBS Radio/Denver where he oversaw Hot AC KIMN-FM (Mix 100), Country KWLI-FM (92.5 The Wolf) and Classic Hits KXKL-FM (Kool 105).
VP/GM Dave Robbins stated, "BILL is the perfect individual to lead our stations into the future, having the knowledge of our market and invaluable experience with both AC and Country formats. We are extremely excited to have BILL GAMBLE return to his native CHICAGO to move both successful stations to even more advantageous positions going forward."
GAMBLE is equally enthusiastic about his return to CHICAGO radio. "I am thrilled to be returning home to CHICAGO and to be with CBS RADIO. US99.5 is AMERICA's premier Country station and FRESH 105.9 is one the fastest growing stations in CHICAGO. I'm looking forward to getting started and working with DAVE ROBBINS and the talented group of professionals at both stations."
Gamble joined the Denver group in February, 2006 as PD of KWLI and was upped to OM in August, 2008. Previously, Gamble was PD of co-owned WZZN-FM (94.7 The Zone)/Chicago for eight years. He's also programmed WMAQ/Chicago, WKLR/Indianapolis, WSUN/Tampa, WEFM/Chicago and WIFI/Philadelphia, as well as serving as a programming consultant.
