R.W. Smith Joins KJJY/Des Moines as Program Dir.

Citadel/Des Moines hires veteran programmer R.W. Smith as Program Director of Country KJJY-FM. He replaces Andy Elliot, who remains as PD/mornings at co-owned Country KHKI-FM. Smith most recently served as PD of Country KCYE-FM (Coyote Country)/Las Vegas until his position was eliminated in January.

Smith joined Beasley's KYCE in June, 2006, from Country WYRK-FM/Buffalo. Previously, Smith spent almost eight years as PD of WIXY-FM/Champaign, IL, and OM of the Champaign cluster there. He's also programmed Country KVOO-FM and Classic Country KXBL-FM/Tulsa.
