News/Talk KSTP-AM and Country WIXK-AM/Minneapolis General Manager Todd Fisher will exit the Hubbard cluster on November 2. He joined the group in 1996 from WWMX/Baltimore as OM/PD of KSTP-FM (KS95). In 2000 Fisher was promoted to VP/GM of Talk KSTP-AM and Hot AC KSTP-FM. He added management duties at newly acquired WIXK-AM and FM in 2001.
In an e-mail to the staff, Fisher wrote, "When I came to work for Hubbard in 1996, relocating from the east coast, I was excited about my new adventure in the frozen tundra and thought I'd give this 'Minnesota thing' three or four years and see what happens. Thirteen wonderful years have now passed and with very mixed emotions, I wanted to let all of you know that I'll be leaving Hubbard Radio effective November 2.
He continued, "I want to thank Ginny Morris for giving me the shot to rise from the programming ranks to the GM's chair. Also, I want to thank all of you for your dedication and passion for this wonderful business. We have experienced some truly great times and have labored mightily through the challenges together."
