Financially-troubled Mega Media Group's Rhythmic CHR WNYZ-LP (Pulse 87)/New York is back on the air after going dark Sunday night. The station told listeners that technical issues (STL) kept the station off the air. Pulse did manage to stream online during its STL outage.
Mega Media filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in August. According to court papers, Mega owes creditors more than $3.5 million. But that's not all, frequency owner Island Broadcasting, has reportedly put the signal up for sale with a price tag of $15 million. Even so, the station pulled 831,000 last month according to Arbitron's PPM.
