Border Media Partners/Austin drops Regional Mexican on KHHL-FM (98.9 La Ley) in favor of English News/Talk. Spanish CHR simulcast KXXS-FM and KXBT-FM flip to Sports as "The Horn 104.9 FM," using ESPN Radio under a deal with Simmons Media, which owns crosstown ESPN affiliate KZNX-AM and Spanish Sports KWNX-AM (ESPN Deportes). The duo will concentrate on local sports, while KZNX airs the ESPN national programming.
Local "Bud Light Morning Rush" with Erin Hogan and Dan Neil will air in mornings, "The Bottom Line with Sean Adams and Chip Brown" takes middays and "The Drive with Geoff Ketchum and Chad Hastings" will be heard in afternoons.
Former crosstown Clear Channel KVET-FM morning co-host Sammy Allred will reportedly join the lineup at KHHL, while former WINK-AM and WNOG-AM/Fort Myers-Naples PD Jeff Wolf will handle programming.
