KCEO-AM/San Diego Goes All Catholic Next Week
RADIO ONLINE | Friday, March 2, 2012 |
Next Wednesday (3/7/12) will be a big day for San Diego's KCEO-AM 1000. The station will flip from "Financial News Talk" to a 24-hour-a-day Catholic talk radio station, in part because of San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers.
Rivers was a very active fundraiser which made the milestone possible and said in a promotional video for the station, "It's my job to pass. It's also my job to pass along my faith to my kids and the community." The Most Rev. Cirilo Flores, who is in line to become the fifth bishop in the history of the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Diego next year, will flip a switch at St. Therese of Carmel Catholic Church at 1:45pm to inaugurate the station on Wednesday.
A news release described the mix as "current event and talk show programming designed to inform and educate listeners on the beauty of the Catholic faith, its rich history and spiritual insight, plus family topics from a Catholic perspective."
