XTRA-FM (91X)/San Diego names Christy Taylor as its new Program Director. She replaces Garrett Capone, who left last January. Taylor first joined the Alternative outlet in 2008, as an evening personality, and then Music Director. Previously, Taylor was on-air at WXRK-FM (K-Rock) in New York and WZMR-FM (The Edge) in Albany, NY.
"We have had tremendous response for the vacant position," said Local Media San Diego VP/GM Gregg Wolfson. "Despite the nationwide search, we found the next PD not only here in San Diego but within the LMSD family. We could not be prouder to promote Christy Taylor as the new Program Director of 91X."
"Yes! Yes! Yes! I got it, now where's the key to my new office?" said Taylor. "I am beyond excited to be named 91X Program Director. This is a true honor."
