RADIO ONLINE | Wednesday, April 25, 2012 | 3:18pm CT

Kelly McCoy is set to exit Cox Media AC WSB-FM (B98.5) in Atlanta after 27 years in afternoon drive (2-7pm). He'll walk out the door for the last time on Friday April 27. McCoy began his Atlanta radio career in 1978 at CHR WQXI-AM (then known as Quixie in Dixie), before moving to WSB (then 99 FM) in early 1985.

"I'm a very blessed man," McCoy told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "I have no complaints. I have no regrets. It's been a great place to work. They treated me fairly."

McCoy told the newspaper that he and his wife, Cary, will spend a month at his beach home in St. Simons Island before moving forward. "I plan to retire from radio right now," he said. "The possibilities are endless in the online world. I have some entrepreneurial ideas up my sleeve." (04-25-12)
