CMN to Launch Perez Hilton Daily Radio Show
RADIO ONLINE | Thursday, May 3, 2012 | 2:26pm CT
Cumulus Media Networks will offer a nightly radio show hosted by celebrity blogger Perez Hilton beginning May 21. "Perez Nights Live" will air live each weeknight from 7-11pm ET and replaces the "Billy Bush Show" on Cumulus outlets with initial distribution in more than 50 markets including Dallas, Houston, Atlanta and Detroit. "Perez Nights Live" will also be available to non-Cumulus stations.
This new program offers listeners the newest music and latest in celebrity news with co-host Adam Bomb. Hilton will continue to offer broadcasters the twice-daily celebrity and entertainment news feature "Radio Perez," currently in its fourth broadcast year.
"Successful contemporary stations all have one thing in common: they keep their listeners on the cutting edge of music and pop culture," said Cumulus Media co-COO John Dickey. "Leading stations in our business set trends. Perez doesn't report on pop culture, he is pop culture. 'Perez Nights Live' will take the important evening daypart and turn it into a brand enhancing experience."
"As if I wasn't busy enough! Now I'm going to be even busier! But I couldn't let this exciting opportunity pass! I love doing radio! I love entertaining listeners! And I LOVE sharing the celebrity scoop and my favorite music! 'Perez Nights Live' is going to be deliriously delightful and de-lovely!" added Hilton. (05-03-12)
