RADIO ONLINE | Monday, September 10, 2012 |
Alpha Broadcasting is partnering with Clip Interactive allowing listeners of any its stations in Portland, OR (KINK-FM, KUPL-FM, KBFF-FM, KXTG-AM, KXL-AM or KUFO-AM) to interact in real-time with stations by using the free Clip Radio app. Developed by Clip Interactive, the app recognizes the station and allows listeners to capture related digital content and save it to their smartphone.
The digital content includes all programming and advertising, such as artist and song information, features, promotions ad, local deals, etc. Alpha Broadcasting President/COO Bob Proffitt believes the value this technology offers will enhance the listening experience of his stations. "We are beyond excited to offer our audience and advertisers this cutting edge, interactive way to listen to radio."
Clip Interactive CEO Michael Lawless added, "The entire Clip Radio team is very excited to be working with a partner as progressive as Alpha. Together, we will bring interactive radio to Alpha Broadcasting listeners. Today, the Clip Radio app changes the game for radio. Broadcasters, listeners and advertisers can now experience interactivity never before possible. Naturally, we're thrilled to be in Portland with Alpha."
