Brent Alberts Exits WCSX/Detroit as Program Director

44-year industry vet Brent Alberts exits Greater Media Classic Rock WCSX-FM/Detroit as Program Director after his contract was not renewed. VP/Program Development Buzz Knight is now programming the station. Before joining in 2010, WCSX, he served as Director of Rock Programming at Citadel Broadcasting as well as Director of Programming and Operations for the Midwest Region. In addition, he was PD of WMMQ-FM and WFMK-FM/Lansing, MI.
Commenting on his Facebook page, Alberts said, "As of this morning I am no longer with Greater Media/Detroit. WCSX has been one of the highlights of my career, and what a great staff. I will miss the many folks I worked with here. It was truly an honor to program and work for this company in DETROIT. Who knows what's next for me. Only time will tell!"
