Bloomquist Media, a marketing communications and PR firm that specializes in spoken word media, has won two 2013 Communicator Awards for a Memorial Day radio program that raised awareness and funds for Fisher House Foundation, a non-profit that assists the families of wounded warriors. The program, entitled "A Grateful Nation," was honored with a Gold Award of Excellence for Writing/Creative Concept and a Silver Award of Distinction in the Programs category.
"We are very pleased to see A Grateful Nation honored for its creative concept and writing," said Bloomquist Media President Randall Bloomquist. "Powerful storytelling is key to the success of our innovative Branded Audio Content strategy."
A Grateful Nation told four stories of service and sacrifice by members of the U.S. military and their families. Because Fisher House Foundation played a role in all of these stories, the organization's message was organically woven into the content. The program aired during Memorial Day weekend 2012 on 65 news/talk radio stations, as well as Sirius XM satellite radio.
