Genesis Communications Celebrates 25 Years

Genesis Communications has announced the celebration of a major company milestone -- their 25th anniversary. Founded in 1988 with the purchase of WLQY in Miami, FL and WNIV in Atlanta, GA, the company currently owns and operates news and sports radio stations in Florida including WWBA All News AM 820, WHBO Sports Talk AM 1040 and WMGG News Talk AM 1470 in Tampa Bay, WHOO Sports Talk AM 1080, WAMT All News AM 1190 and WIXC All News AM 1060 in Orlando-Melbourne-the Space Coast.

The company also owns and operates web publications including www.sportstalkflorida.com and www.newstalkflorida.com and developed the "Gotta Know" mobile application available to consumers in both the I-Tunes and Android formats. "We are going to use this milestone anniversary to build on our strengths and to forge exciting new opportunities, enabling us to continue to meet and exceed the needs of our clients," said Bruce Maduri, president and CEO of Genesis Communications. As part of their 25th Anniversary, Genesis plans to celebrate with a customer appreciation party later in the year.
