Jake "The Snake" Plummer Adds Sports USA Podcast

Sports USA has added former NFL Pro Bowl Quarterback Jake Plummer to their expanding list of Sports Superstar Shows. "Jake Plummer is a true superstar with a huge following in the college and pro football sports world. We are excited to add Jake's show to our growing list of Digital Audio Programs as we continue to produce current, fresh, and informative sports programming," said Bob Moore, President of Sports USA.

"Sports USA is a leader in Network Sports Radio. I'm looking forward to sharing the stage with legendary sports icons like Joe Morgan, Leigh Steinberg, Fred Dryer and the rest of the Sports USA line-up," said Plummer.

Plummer was a four year starter at Arizona State University from 1993 through 1996. As a senior, he was named Pac-10 Player of the Year and was a consensus All-American. Plummer was then drafted in the 2nd round of the NFL draft by the Arizona Cardinals, where he played for six years. In 2003, Plummer joined the Denver Broncos, and he led the team to the playoffs in each of his first 3 years. He was named to the Pro Bowl following the 2005 season. In all, Plummer played 10 years in the NFL before retiring in 2007. His nickname, "Jake the Snake," was given to him as a tribute to professional wrestler Jake "The Snake" Roberts in part because he was slithery and unpredictable, a quick guy with a great arm, and had a knack for making something out of nothing. Coincidentally, Roberts adopted that nickname as a tribute to his favorite NFL player, former Oakland Raiders quarterback Ken Stabler, who was nicknamed "The Snake."

Plummer is currently an NFL game analyst on Sports USA's Sunday Doubleheader package as well as a college football analyst on the Pac-12 Television Network.

"Snakes Takes with Jake Plummer" is a weekly podcast you can now hear on sportsusamedia.com, podcastone.com, itunes and on the tune-in app for your smartphone.
