CCME Names Maynard SVP of Programming

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment announced today that Maynard will join the company as Senior Vice President of Programming, effective immediately. He will report to Tom Poleman, President of National Programming Platforms and Clay Hunnicutt, Executive Vice President and General Manager for National Programming Platforms.

In this newly created position Maynard will work closely with Clear Channel's National Programming Platforms and Strategic Services teams as well as work with select local stations. He will have a special focus on programming products while continuing to elevate Clear Channel's brands and developing new innovative ways to reach listeners. Maynard will join Clear Channel from Hubbard Radio in Seattle where since 2007 he served as Operations Manager and Program Director. Under his leadership, Hubbard's stations in Seattle were highly successful with KQMV rising to No. 1 ratings in the market. Maynard is one of the most highly regarded Program Directors in the industry, with prior roles in Spokane, and Omaha as well as with Clear Channel in Eugene and Portland.

"Great programming is a cornerstone of Clear Channel's strategy so we're constantly looking to increase our programming bench with the brightest and most innovative minds,'' said Tom Poleman. "Maynard has an outstanding track record and he'll be a great addition to our brain trust." "Maynard's programming expertise and knowledge of the industry has made him one of the most successful and respected programmers in radio -- he has been on our 'wish-list' for a long time," said Hunnicutt. "Maynard's return to Clear Channel further demonstrates our ability to attract the greatest minds and programmers in the business."
