RADIO ONLINE | Tuesday, July 29, 2014 |
The University of Houston has announced that its football and men's basketball will air on Clear Channel's News/Talk KPRC-AM/Houston during the 2014-15 season. Kevin Eschenfelder returns for a second season to call Cougars football action with Ted Pardee in his ninth season as game analyst and Jeremy Branham as sideline reporter. Matt Thomas will handle the pre-game show. Cougars' men's basketball aired on KPRC last season, while its football games were broadcast of co-owned Sports KBME-AM (Sportstalk 790).
University of Houston VP/Intercollegiate Athletics Mack Rhoades said, "Both the University of Houston and Clear Channel Media + Entertainment had a goal of a consistent radio home for Houston football and men's basketball. With KPRC 950 AM, we have a home Houston fans know they can turn to when the Cougars are in action without being affected by the schedules of any other organization."
Clear Channel/Houston Director of AM Programming Bryan Erickson added, "We wanted Houston fans to have a consistent station for every single game. We look forward to another exciting season of Houston men's basketball on KPRC 950 AM, and we look forward to Houston football joining the station's roster."
