WJZ/Baltimore to Carry Towson Football/Basketball

Towson University's football and men's basketball signs with CBS Radio's Sports WJZ-AM (CBS Sports Radio 1300)/Baltimore to air its games this season. Under the new deal, coaches shows will broadcast on co-owned Sports WJZ-FM (105.7 The Fan). Spiro Morekas will continue as the radio voice calling the action for the Tigers.

Towson Athletic Director Tim Leonard said, "This partnership really establishes Towson University as Baltimore's university. We are the college sports program of this market. This strengthens our brand and expands our audience and aligns us with the best media partner in this market."

CBS Radio/Baltimore VP/Programming Dave Labrozzi added, "This is a perfect partnership and we are all about local sports. This solidifies what we do. We couldn't be more excited or thrilled to be joining with Towson University, especially with all the great things happening there."
