Cumulus has appointed 25-year News/Talk professional Dan Mandis as Program Director for its Nashville News/Talk station, WWTN Super Talk 99.7 WTN, effective immediately. In addition to being an award-winning programmer and radio journalist, Mandis also hosts WTN middays from Noon to 3pm. He spent his formative years in radio at KFI in his hometown of Los Angeles, where his responsibilities included news, traffic and production. He also spent many years with the nationally syndicated Dr. Laura Schlessinger program before embarking on a career in hosting and programming in markets across the U.S.
"Dan Mandis is an accomplished spoken-word programmer and the perfect choice to guide WWTN into its next phase as the place where Nashville comes to learn about and celebrate life in one of America's greatest cities," said John Dickey, Executive Vice President and Co-Chief Operating Officer for Cumulus.
"WTN is an amazing station with some great local talent. I'm looking forward to my expanded role with Cumulus Nashville, and appreciate the faith Cumulus has shown in my abilities to take WTN to the next level," said Mandis.
