Clear Channel Rolls Out ''ALT 107.3'' in Wichita

Clear Channel/Wichita flips Classic Rock KTHR-FM to Alternative as "ALT 107.3," effective immediately. The new station will air artists such as The Black Keys, Kings of Leon, Jack White along with Coldplay, Pearl Jam, Green Day, Imagine Dragons and The Lumineers. ALT 107.3 will feature "all music hours" until Sunday, September 7, when the Kansas City Chiefs kick off their regular season on the CCME outlet, which is the official radio home for Kansas City Chiefs A new on-air lineup will be announced soon.

"Wichita radio has missed the music from these artists. Wichita finally has a home for some of the most popular and critically acclaimed current rock acts in music today, with a nod to the Alt that defined the genre in the 90's," said OM Tony Matteo. "We're excited to offer Wichita a new home for everything alternative."
