Cumulus/Chicago Rolls Out New Lineup on The Loop

Cumulus/Chicago announces that Classic Rock WLUP-FM (97.9 The Loop) is changing lanes with a completely new weekday line-up that features veteran personalities Tim Virgin, Lyndsey Marie and Pyke. In addition, the station says it has begun a nationwide search for its next morning personality. Out are Loop vets Patrick Capone and Maxwell, both of which whose last day was Friday.

Virgin returns to Chicago for WLUP afternoons. His previous posts include WXRK-FM (KROCK)/New York, WHFS-FM/Washington, DC and the former Q101 in Chicago. He most recently hosted afternoons at KEGY-FM/San Diego. Marie heads to The Loop middays from her on-air duties at Cumulus sister WNNX-FM (Rock 100.5)/Atlanta. Pyke is inbound to Chicago for nights on The Loop. His previous on-air stints include WXRK-FM and WHTZ-FM (Z100)/New York and the former Q101 in Chicago.

Executive VP/Programming and Content John Dickey said, "This is a part of the continuing evolution of WLUP. Chicago is a city known for great personalities and this new line-up continues that tradition."

OM/PD Wade Linder added, "Chicago has a high expectation for the personalities on The Loop, so we're thrilled to have Tim, Lyndsey and Pyke join us. Now, we start our search for Loop's next amazing morning team."
