Sports Talk Florida Debuts Local Midday Program

Genesis Communications debuts "The Front Office," hosted by Tom Veit (aka The GM), weekdays from noon-3pm beginning October 27 on WHBO-AM (Sports Talk 1040 The Team) in Tampa and WHOO-AM (Sports Talk 1080 The Team) in Orlando. The show will be Central Florida's only local originating midday sports radio talk program. Veit is a seasoned sports executive with over 25 years of experience in the sports and entertainment industry.

"With 10 major professional sports teams and seven all sport Division I collegiate programs in Florida, there needs to be a place during the midday to talk local sports," said Veit. "Every day there will be passionate debates on the hot topics. After spending so many years working in the Central Florida sports scene, the one thing I know is that there is passion from every point of view."

Veit is also the former President and General Manager of the MLS Philadelphia Union. He worked side-by-side with Vince McMahon as Senior VP of Global Live Events for the WWE.

"Sports programming is in demand every hour of the day for the Central Florida sports listener. Our company provides a fun and entertaining venue with in-depth stories for fans across Central Florida with all of our radio, mobile and web publications. Tom's unique background will certainly give Floridians a behind-the-scenes look and insight to professional and college sports," said Genesis President/CEO Bruce Maduri.
