Chris Mays Exits KINK/Portland as Program Director

Chris Mays resigns as Program Director of AAA KINK-FM/Portland, OR. She wrote on Facebook, "While I will always cherish my time at KINK and Alpha Media, I feel it's time for a change." Mays had been with KINK since October, 2010, inking a multi-year renewal in 2012. Mays previously programmed KLSY-FM and KMTT-FM in Seattle as well as KLLC-FM (97.3 Alice)/San Francisco from 2005-2008.
"I am extremely proud to have worked at some of the finest, most influential stations in the Triple A format and I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to lend my talents and years of expertise to help those stations achieve unprecedented successes," she wrote. Working in Portland has been no exception."
During Mays' four years at KINK, the station was nominated for the Marconi Award for Best Rock Station in the nation in both 2011 and 2012, winning in 2012. She was honored as Best Programmer in the AAA format for the past two years. And KINK received the award for best station of the Year at the AAA Conference last summer.
