OG 97.9 Classic Hip Hop Arrives in Atlanta

OG 97.9 FM launched Tuesday at noon as Atlanta's Classic Hip Hop station on W250BC-FM and WWWQ-HD3. It's throwback hip hop you grew up featuring Dr Dre, Missy Elliott, Notorious B.I.G., Jay Z, Ludacris, Snoop and LL Cool J, all the O-G's of Hip-Hop. OG 97.9 replaces Q100-20, which will continue to be available to listeners via Rdio's Q100-20 Playlist.
"This is an exciting day for Atlanta radio," said Cumulus Atlanta Operations Manager Rob Roberts. "We are bringing a format that hasn't been available and we're thrilled to be the home of Classic Hip Hop."
