RADIO ONLINE | Wednesday, November 26, 2014 |
Industy vet Bo Woods is named Program Director and morning host for Country KORA-FM/Bryan-College Station, TX. He succeeds Roger "WWW" Garrett, who announced he would retire last October. Most recently, Woods served as Program Director of Oldies KNOT-AM & FM (Arizona's Fun Oldies)/Prescott, AZ. Previously, he worked for Oldies KLUV-FM/Dallas and KCBQ-FM/San Diego and as an air personality for Classic Hits KRTH-FM (K-Earth 101)/Los Angeles.
"We're thrilled to have Bo Woods join KORA-FM, our legendary, heritage Country station in Bryan-College Station," said Brazos Valley GM John Seigler. "His track record at great radio stations in tough, competitive markets is tremendous. Bo's experience as a major market and nationwide network talent to medium market community involved programmer is a great fit for KORA. He's a very talented radio professional who brings passion, energy, and strategic thinking to winning locally programmed radio stations."
"I'm truly excited to be offered this position at KORA, a heritage TEXAS Country radio station," added Woods. "KORA is a great example of a 'live & local,' fully staffed, winning radio station. It's a market leader proudly involved in the community it serves. I am looking forward to working with and learning from GM John Seigler and General Partner Tommy Vascocu. I am honored to be following legendary morning show host, Roger "WWW" Garrett."
