Yahoo! Sports Radio adds three new personalities to the network's 24/7 lineup, to be heard beginning in 2015. Long-time Sports/Talk host Anthony Pepe joins weekdays from 10am-12pm ET, beginning Monday, January 5. Broadcasting Saturdays and Sundays from 2-6pm ET, starting January 3, is sports host Matt Perrault. Launching January 4 and airing Sundays from 6-8pm ET, is morning anchor and Sports/Talk host Tim Murray. Finally, The Big Lead founder and publisher Jason McIntyre will provide a roundup of the week's sports headlines and entertainment Sundays from 11am-2pm ET, debuting January 11.
"We look forward to this expansion of our talented lineup, as we welcome Anthony, Matt, Jason and Tim to our 2015 lineup," said Yahoo! Sports Radio COO/Program Director Craig Larson. "The experience of all four in the sports broadcast realm, combined with their business-minded backgrounds, will deliver both great content and great opportunities for new and existing partners."
Anthony Pepe jump-started his radio career at WEEI-FM/Boston, where he created the Pepe and the Water Boys Event Team and worked on over 500 events, in addition to working closely with the sales department to create marketing partnerships. He later moved to WUFC-AM/Boston as Sporting News Radio's Marketing Director, where he handled all station marketing efforts. He went on to host afternoons on the station from 2003 to mid-2005 with The Diehards. In 2005, Pepe was named GM of WWZN-AM, now WUFC. In 2013, Pepe joined Yahoo! Sports Radio as host of a weekday program, and returned in 2015 after a brief hiatus.
Awarded for his broadcasting talents by the Nebraska and New Hampshire Broadcasting Associations, Matt Perrault has worked in three separate regions of the country over a nearly 20-year career. After graduating from University of Massachusetts, Amherst, has covered everything from Big East basketball to NFL football, working in major markets, including WEEI-FM/Boston and KCSP-AM/Kansas City, as well as Des Moines, Omaha, Charlottesville and more.
Currently the morning anchor at WTEM-AM (ESPN980)/Washington, DC, Tim Murray also hosts Sports Saturday from 10am-1pm ET on the station. Murray joined the Yahoo! Sports Radio family in August, 2013, as the update anchor for the Steve Czaban Show. Additionally, Murray provides scoreboard updates during the Washington Redskins Postgame Show locally.
While attending James Madison University, Jason McIntyre earned sports writing internships at the Daily News-Record in Harrisonburg, VA, and the Greensboro News & Record, where he whet his chops to later secure a position at the New Jersey Herald News, post-graduation. McIntyre then went on to report for the Bergen Record in North Jersey, where he covered high school sports, NBA, MLB and soccer. Additionally, McIntyre has appeared on many television and radio programs, including CBS Sports Network, FOX Business, Fox Sports 1, the Jim Rome Show and The Herd with Colin Cowherd.
