iHeartRadio Streaming App on Apple Watch

iHeartMedia today announced that iHeartRadio is one of the first streaming music and digital radio apps available on the Apple Watch. Listeners who download the iHeartRadio app will instantly be able to control their iHeartRadio listening experience right from their Apple Watch.

The iHeartRadio for Apple Watch integration will deliver listeners all their favorite iHeartRadio features including instant access to Live Radio from across the country, Custom Stations based on a catalog of more than 800,000 artists and 20 million songs, plus thousands of on-demand news, talk and entertainment podcasts. iHeartRadio also utilizes Apple Watch's speech technology to quickly play music by simply saying an artist ("Taylor Swift") or station name ("Z100").

"Think of the Apple Watch as a remote control that's always on your wrist and easily allows you to access all your favorite iHeartRadio stations and features," said Chris Williams, Chief Product Officer for iHeartRadio. "We designed a simple and beautiful interface that allows users to control their music with ease, providing exactly what they want, when they want it, wherever they are."

"iHeartRadio is proud to be a first-mover in the wearables space and we are pleased to now also be available on the Apple Watch -- one of Apple's most promising new products," said Michele Laven, President of Business Development and Partnerships for iHeartMedia. "The Apple Watch is sure to create even more momentum for the wearables category and is the perfect platform to reach new iHeartRadio listeners across connected devices."
