Tommy Garrett to Exit WRNS/Greenville PD/MD Chair

Tommy Garrett resigns as Program Director and Music Director at Digity-owned Country WRNS-FM/Greenville-New Bern, NC, due to personal reasons. Garrett joined the WRNS staff in 2006 as MD and was elevated to the programming chair in February, 2011. He'll be replaced by WRNS Assistant PD Carletta Blake, who has been named Interim Program Director. Blake came to WRNS in July, 2008, and also served as Promotions Director.

Morning Co-Host Crystal Legends will assume the Music Director post. Legends previously served as Music Director at co-owned CHR WERO-FM prior to joining WRNS in 2012. Cluster Operations Manager Chris Mann will oversee the entire WRNS programming team.

"We are saddened that circumstances make it impossible for Tommy to continue in his role at WRNS. His personality and voice has been a fixture in thousands of Eastern North Carolina households for the past 10 years. Our staff and family of listeners wish Tommy and his family good luck and good fortune. The entire WRNS staff was blessed to have worked with him" commented General Manager Larry Weiss. "At the same time, our team in place is more than capable to meet the challenges ahead and capitalize on the many opportunities we have in this market."
