RADIO ONLINE | Tuesday, August 4, 2015 |
Country WOGI-FM (The Froggy)/Pittsburgh morning crew invited an 8-year-old girl in urgent need of a triple organ transplant to be their special guest DJ Friday morning on "The Frogman & Gator Show." Kyree Beachum is currently waiting for a liver, small bowel and pancreas to save her life. The morning team first saw the girl on a local news channel and invited her and her family into the studio to share her story, along with others who have joined together to help Kyree.
"Her smile just lit up the screen. I knew we needed to meet this special little girl and share her story with our listening friends. We are all praying for her," said morning host Michael Ovadia (aka The Frogman).
The team spent the morning creating awareness on the importance of organ donation and showering Kyree with gifts from tickets to the Pittsburgh Zoo and the Luke Bryan show to crafts, games, Taylor Swift gift packs and more. Local country artist Christian Beck also stopped by to serenade the 8-year-old star who was all smiles for her special day.
