Benztown to Release Second Annual VO Talent Ranks

Benztown has announced that it will release the second annual "Benztown 50," the radio industry's ranking of the top 50 voiceover talents in the U.S. and Canada. The "Benztown 50" ranking will be based on several criteria, including number of station affiliates, station size and radio market. Benztown has partnered with P1 Research to compile and analyze industry data that will be the foundation for the rankings. The list is currently in development and will be released to the industry this fall. Voice talent can apply at www.benztown.com/50.

Benztown President Dave "Chachi" Denes said, "With the huge success of last year's inaugural Benztown 50, the Benztown and P1 Research teams couldn't be happier to expand this year's list to include Canadian VO artists. In this burgeoning era of more audio companies vying for the ears of listeners, we believe that VO artists are more integral to the process of defining brands and creating stationality than ever before. We're proud to shine a much-deserved light on VO artists and look forward to sharing the results with the industry."

P1 Research President of Research Ken Benson said, "P1 Research is teaming with Benztown to honor the nameless, yet vital voices that play an essential role in today's radio branding. This year we are excited to be expanding our Voice Power Index beyond the United States to honor the signature voices of the Canadian radio market, too. Our proprietary algorithm will be evaluating a tremendous amount of data to determine 2015's Benztown 50 Voice Power Index. We look forward to working with Benztown to honor the unsung heroes of our industry."
