CBS Radio Names Rogers VP/National Sales

CBS Radio has named Sam Rogers as Vice President, National Sales and Corporate Partnerships. Reporting to Bob Philips, Senior Vice President and Director of Sales, CBS Radio, Rogers will work with the Division's National Sales Managers and rep firm, as well as strengthen relationships with key decision makers at the client and agency level. The appointment is effective on Monday, Oct. 12.
Rogers returns to CBS Radio where he previously spent more than two decades (1988-2011) in a variety of management positions, most recently as Senior Vice President/Market Manager, CBS Radio Washington, D.C.
"Sam has been a formidable competitor who has created winning sales campaigns for some of the biggest brands advertising on radio," said Philips. "He has the ability to bring together the creative energy of a sales team to meet the needs of a client using a variety of cross platform solutions and assets. Our markets will greatly benefit from his experience and vision."
Since 2013, Rogers has been Vice President of National and Corporate Sales at Radio One. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Political and Platform Sales at Cumulus Media from 2011-12, and General Manager of WMAL/WRQX. Rogers also managed political sales during the 2012 election cycle.
